This role is to assist our team of Activators in the delivery of low level exercise sessions across BwD. These sessions are designed to get people moving more, build confidence in exercise and to highlight that exercise is more than just going to the gym! With the support and knowledge of our Activators, you can help us to reach more people, increase physical activity and make a friend or two along the way. Here’s some of the sessions we offer:
- Walking Workout
- Pilates for beginners
- Fall Prevention courses
- Exercise to music classes
Key Tasks
- To support the session leader to deliver the session
- Help to prepare the room and/or set up any equipment needed
- Take a register at the beginning of the session
- Individually support clients during the session if required
- Offer encouragement to the group throughout
- To help the session leader as required
- Log volunteering hours via an on-line computer system

Training
- An Enhanced DBS is required for all roles with re:fresh
- Level 2 RSPH Award in encouraging physical activity (18+ only)
- Volunteer Learning Passport access (e-learning)
- Emergency First Aid Course
