Active Autumn coming next
Get moving for Active Seasons in the school holidays!
Taking place across various local geen spaces, parks, and community centres, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, no matter the weather!
Highlighting our local green and blue spaces, we deliver Active Seasons across a range of areas in Blackburn and Darwen, for example, Witton Park, Whitehall Park, Corporation Park, Queens Park, Mill Hill and more.
Throughout the year, we aim to encourage families to be more active. From scavenger hunts and orienteering, to climbing walls and crafts or play-based fun, there’s plenty for you to get stuck into. Please note that all sessions are FREE, but some selected sessions will require booking for attendance.
For safety reasons, please make sure that children who are taking part in sessions are wearing appropriate clothing and shoes for physical activity.
Xplorer in 4 parks!
Xplorer Trails are available throughout the year in 4 parks across Blackburn and Darwen! Xplorer Trails are available for everyone to complete at any time!
Themes:
Corporation park – Transport
Queens Park – Mythical Creatures
Whitehall Park – Woodland Animals
Witton Park – Autumn Themed

Active Passport!
An exciting opportunity to keep you and the family active throughout the 6-week Summer holidays.
Active Passports are available to give you and the family ideas on how to have fun whether that’s indoors or outdoors, rain or shine. The aim is for you and family to complete as many of the activities as possible. Some of these activities can be done in your own time, and others will be part of our Active Summer activities. Check out the Active Summer timetable at the top of this page!
You can draw a picture, add a photo, collect stickers from Active Summer events or write a list of your activities.

How to enter?

Include:
- Photo of your busiest Active Passport page
- Full name
- Owner of Active Passport full name
- Contact number
- How you found out about your Active Passport
You will then be entered into a prize draw.
To request an active passport to be delivered to your address, please contact the Wellbeing Service on: 01254 682037 or email: Wellbeing@Blackburn.gov.uk or you can complete the Active Passport Request Form below. Please note: these will be sent towards the end of July.
