You don’t have to wait until the summer to be a part of the 2012 Olympics, get involved NOW with Blackburn Rovers Community Trust.
Using the power of the Olympic and Paralympic Games the Trust is offering an extensive programme of Olympic-themed sporting and learning provision throughout 2012 to inspire children and young people, sparking their imagination and fostering enthusiasm for a healthy, active lifestyle.
With programmes for Early Years through to Post-16 groups, our exciting provision, which is fully inclusive, includes;
Mini Olympics events
- (either on school site or at Ewood Park)
- Multi-sports activities
- (athletics; badminton; basketball; boxing; football; handball; hockey; table tennis; volleyball)
- Healthy living workshops
- Languages; numeracy; literacy; ICT; healthy living; sport and PE; science; history; geography; enterprise; art and design
In addition, the programme aims to promote communication skills; self-confidence and self-esteem; skills to think critically and challenge inequalities; awareness of Olympic and Paralympic values.
