Blackburn Rovers Community Trust

BRCT ImageBlackburn Rovers Community Trust (Registered Charity No. 1117122) is fully committed to offering all members of the local community access to the highest quality programme of grassroots football, education, inclusion initiatives and awareness projects to encourage off-field participation, success and enjoyment using the crest and brand name of Blackburn Rovers Football Club.

The power of football to engage, enthuse and motivate people irrespective of age, gender and ethnicity is not recognised on many stages. As a vehicle through which community cohesion in its broadest terms of 'narrowing the gap' in health, education, aspirations and opportunity can be addressed, the local draw of Blackburn Rovers and the unrivalled power of the brand to bring additional credibility cannot be underestimated.

Education

The Education Centre is housed in dedicated accommodation in the Darwen End Stand. With access to the very latest technologies we offer a wide range of curriculum focused days which have been developed to provide relevant, real-life learning opportunities in a non-traditional setting to enthuse and motivate all learners. Programmes have been designed to meet National Curriculum requirements, using the environment and medium of football as a route to other knowledge, skills and understanding, and are delivered by a team of highly qualified, experienced teachers and assistants.

Community Sport and Health Engagement

The Trust’s Community Sport and Health Engagement team delivers multi-sport programmes both at Ewood Park and across the town, increasing local opportunities to engage in positive activity in a safe environment as well as improving health and increasing levels of sporting participation. We are very fortunate to include among our facilities the Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre and the Blackburn Rovers Sports Arena incorporating Astroturf pitches, multi-sports courts and a dance studio. Our team of highly qualified multi-sports coaches offers a range of structured activities including: football; tag rugby; tennis; hockey; basketball; netball; table tennis; badminton; cricket; ju-jitsu; dance; street-dance; Zumba, cheerleading; dodge ball, boxercise and jump rope.

Blackburn Rovers Enterprise Centre

Blackburn Rovers Enterprise Centre housed in the Darwen End Stand of the Ewood Park stadium, was developed to provide managed businesses accommodation within the local community. The Centre not only offers a prestigious trading address, but also a complete business support service, all at an affordable rent on a flexible short-term contract.

The office suites come furnished, including telephone and broadband access. Tenants also benefit from networking opportunities with other growing businesses, trading from the Centre. With training and meeting rooms available to hire at extremely competitive rates, Blackburn Rovers Enterprise Centre truly is a resource for everyone in the community.
